Adding a bit of Colour

Because I've not been feeling the best recently, I've had quite a lot of no-makeup days. But I really do love it and I watch a lot of beauty Youtubers (probably too many) in my spare time.

I'm very lucky that I was gifted and was able to buy makeup items that I've really wanted, and now I have a nice selection of products to use. My favourite part about makeup is eyeshadow and so I spent my own money buying eyeshadow palettes recommended by beauty influencers.

Then at the end of last year I came across the ideas of minimalism and zero-waste... hmmm. This lead on to a whole pile of videos on the internet where I came to the conclusion that I really don't need or want to buy any more makeup until I use what I have. Makeup items, especially liquids, DO expire and the thought that things I've purchased would go off before I could use them just seemed a little silly really. When I was younger and I would be gifted nice things like body products or something, I would hoard them and not want to use them because they're too special, which I realise now was a waste. No more of that.

The only problem is that I am constantly shown new products through influencers, social media and advertisement and every day I find myself lusting after things I would've never known about otherwise. I get so close to clicking "buy" and then I stop myself so I can save for bigger things. One of the products I want is the Life's A Drag eyeshadow palette from Lunar Beauty because I've been inspired to add more colour to my looks. Today I was filming new videos for my YouTube Channel and I decided to change up my look just a little bit, and added a pop of colour. I'm going to challenge myself to use more colour from the products I already own, to see if I would actually use a colourful palette like Life's A Drag.
